Bitter Years is a dramatic film honoring the life of Mario Mieli, one of the leading figures of the Italian LGBTQ+ movement in the 1970s.

Italian LGBT History Month was designed to help build awareness of the history of the queer community through the organization of cultural events and shared resources. In Italy LGBTQ+ history is ignored in middle and high schools, and is only marginally taught and tolerated in Italian universities. Instead of celebrating LGBTQ+ history as a valuable and enriching part of Italian society, these communities are often marginalized, discriminated against and censured. Help us be part of changing this narrative. See: https://www.lgbtplushistorymonth.it/chi-siamo/ for more details.
