Event

Writers House will host its annual Hartman Screenwriting Symposium on Saturday, November 4th (4:00 PM) in honor of Penn’s Homecoming. Everyone is welcome!

This year’s symposium will feature screenwriter ALEC SOKOLOW in conversation with Penn faculty member KATHY DEMARCO VAN CLEVE. Sokolow’s diverse filmography includes classic family films, like TOY STORY and CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, and, more recently, the riveting documentary I AM JANE DOE. DeMarco will lead a conversation with Sokolow that will touch upon the making of these films and others, with plenty of time for your questions about screenwriting and the film industry.
