From Thomas Edison’s 18-second film The Kiss (1896) to recent controversies over trigger warnings on college campuses, the representation of sex on screen has always been a scandal. This series brings together films from the past two decades that have been seen as an outrage to decency, morality, religious beliefs, and other community norms.
