Covering the Entertainment Beat: Writing For a New World of Journalism

The world of journalism is changing fast. In the past, magazine writers had the luxury of writing one well-researched story per month. Now we’re expecting to blog, break news and make slideshows as well as write magazine stories. That kind of multi-tasking can be especially challenging when covering entertainment which is a crowded, but exciting, beat.

Forbes entertainment reporter Dorothy Pomerantz will join us for an informal discussion of Hollywood and the changing business of journalism. Dorothy has been writing for Forbes since 2001. At the magazine, she leads the team that crunches the numbers for the annual Celebrity 100 list (http://www.forbes.com/wealth/celebrities).
