Jennier Levonian will also screen her latest film, The Oven Sky, with a live performance by New-York-based artist and singer Rachel Mason.
Jennifer Levonian is a Philadelphia-based artist who creates cut-paper animations that depict people’s longing for something beyond their everyday lives. Her work has been screened and exhibited nationally, including at the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the National Museum for Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.; and the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, OH. Her most recent animation, The Oven Sky, depicts the class dynamics of her Philadelphia neighborhood.
