Event
Talk and presentation of her short films by Claudia Escobar, Colombian filmmaker documenting musical practices, queer bodies and spaces in San Francisco, California.
Her projects address immigrant perspectives, community work, fashion, and neighborhood life. She is an active member at KQED Public Television.
She says, “For me being an immigrant gives me a different perspective, when I listen to others it creates some sort of understanding, and in my work as storyteller , I find it magical to go to the other people’s universes for a visit, and translate that moment in time through this little filter that was made in Medellin, Colombia.”
