From Script to Screen
Whether you're an aspiring screenwriter, director, producer or simply a film buff, join Julie Goldstein, C'87, President of Production, Endgame Entertainment, as she leads an interactive workshop exploring how the seedling of an idea is brought from script to screen. Moderated by David Novack, ENG '86, and Nancy Levy Novack, C'87, founding co-curators of the Penn Alumni Film Festival, this workshop will give you inside information on the complex and creative journey of such blockbusters as Shakespeare In Love, Chicago, and the award-winning HBO Film, Grey Gardens. Goldstein will share stories of script revisions, director changes, and alternate endings, all leading to the final product that makes it to the screen.
4:30-5:30pm | Claudia Cohen Hall
A light reception will follow "From Script to Screen" and before the Student Shorts Film Screening. Don't miss the chance to meet the student filmmakers and network with alumni in the film industry.
