Journeys into Closed Institutions
Roger Graef has been making award winning observational access films inside normally closed institutions for four decades. He’s made the first films inside the US Senate, the UN, the EU, the British Government, Occidental Petroleum, McKinsey and Co, and many police forces, prisons, probation, and such highly sensitive normally confidential situations as social work, and family therapy. His most recent work includes a series on medical ethical dilemmas created by scientific advances inside Gt Ormond Street Hospital. He’s the first documentary maker to be awarded the BAfta Fellowship for Lifetime Achievement. He’ll be talking about filmmaking ethical dilemmas with John Ellis.
