Filippo Trentin

Filippo Trentin teaches courses on Italian culture and film studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he arrived as an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in 2016-17. His work lies at the intersection of 20th-century Italian literature and cinema, queer studies, transnational modernism and critical theory. With S. Pearl Brilmyer and Zairong Xiang, he is the editor of “The Ontology of the Couple,” a special issue of GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies (Spring 2019). He also co-edited with Dom Holdaway the book Rome, Postmodern Narratives of a Cityscape (Routledge, 2016).
