James Fiumara

James Fiumara earned his Ph.D. in English and Cinema Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. His teaching and research interests include film history, comparative media studies, and digital humanities. He has published essays in the journals Film History and Kinoeye, and is currently completing a book titled Grotesque Attractions: Nineteenth-Century Exhibition Culture and the Origins of Horror Cinema. James also works as a Research Project Manager at the Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC) of the University of Pennsylvania.
